Topic overview · Starting-point method

The beginning lies before the prompt.

This overview does not simply build up "prompting". It shifts the view: away from the perfect phrasing, towards the initial situation, personal knowledge, sources and a working environment that grows with the person.

Perspective 01Method: the right starting point before the task
Perspective 02Working environment: knowledge, material and structure

Focus 01

From the empty question to the right initial situation

  • Starting-point principle: proximity to the real goal instead of generic description
  • How a language model computes its direction from the starting point
  • Your own notes and transcripts as personalizable learning material
  • Source-bound work and hallucination awareness

Focus 02

Personality, knowledge and files become a working environment

  • Personal working profile and a long-term AI tutor
  • Project folders as a quality factor, not mere storage
  • Knowledge migration: preserving experience and decision logic
  • A prompt library as a reusable building block

Shared core

AI does not get better through longer instructions, but through a better reality.

Both perspectives lead to the same basic idea: a model does not need as many words as possible, but the right initial state, suitable material, a clear purpose and human review.

Article 01

The prompt is not the beginning

The first publication turns both perspectives into a practical method: the starting-point memo.

Exercise

Build a starting-point memo from a real task.

  1. Take a concrete assignment you have to complete within the next seven days.
  2. Write down situation, material, goal, audience, limits and success criteria.
  3. Have the AI first name missing information and a processing plan.
  4. Compare the result with a spontaneous one-sentence prompt.
