TOPIC OVERVIEW · HANDOFF
A good handoff does not fix everything. It makes the essentials findable.
A small set of documents gives an idea a goal, boundaries, decisions and checkable acceptance. Work can then be passed on without the context disappearing.
// FOUR DOCUMENTS
The smallest useful handoff package
An agent rarely fails because it is missing one sentence. It fails because the idea exists only in people’s heads: the goal is roughly understood, important decisions are buried in a chat, and nobody has written down what would make the result complete. A handoff package turns that uncertainty into a work situation that can be passed on.
The handoff package
Start prompt, architecture map, rule sheet and acceptance plan give an idea a shared working state. A short decision log keeps course changes traceable.
Build the four documents for a small initiative. Then check: could someone begin from the package without having to guess the backstory?
